Trump's ultimatums

The world has wathced for the last seven months president Trump issuing approximately ten ultimatums involving foreign countries.

Aside the fact that everyone wishes for a cease fire, an ultimatum is again a verbal threat so one has to wonder if vilolence stops with threats when it comes to foreign policy. Especially when directed to another super power such as Russia and specifically president Putin who is not known for his easy going or caving personality.

We have seen two ultimatums involving Ucraine ceasefire (that has now a new expiration date) 

We have seen the American involvement in  the Iran Nuclear Deal and the US striking the Iranian nuclear facility  with dubious results.

He has been successful in his demands regarding the Colombia Deportation Flights but when it comes to TikTok Divestment the ultimatum has been extended several times so far.

Not to mention the Tarrifs ultimatums affecting the globe and being adjusted several times.

As a concerned citizen I must say in  my lifetime these many ultimatums in such short time can only find parallel in the Cold War era or during WW1 and WW2. 

We are watching an international roller coaster and we have no idea when and how the ride ends.

Let us hope that reason will prevail for the sake of all of us.
