Kids Safety

Recently like every year we get stories about kids being left in a car under the sun, kids left unuttended in the water, kids well under 14 escaping parental care and losing their lives.

What can I say? Heart broken to hear and read about these news. Still, I see people taking babies with them on the beach under 40 degrees Celcius to enjoy a swim, parents otherwise engaged around the pool with their little one roaming around the water.

I remember one time at a kids party I had taken my own kids to, I saw this child under 5 yrs old  falling head first into the water and saved by a father nearby , another kid's father! When the kid was given to the mother and the danger expained she was indifferent and she did not even say thank you!

I see parents walk down the street with young ones walking freely in a busy street while they talk over the phones. I hear people running over their own kids by accident in a parking lot, feeding them foods not appropriate to their age resulting in choking ecc ecc

Maybe one should get a parental course and other tests before even attempting to become a parent I say. If someone lacks common sense MAYBE they should not be allowed to have children and MAYBE we should see some real punnishment when kids are put in harms way due to the parents indifference.
